5 Mar

Photo 4-03-2015 8 45 33 pmDid you know that you can adjust the light WHILE taking a picture on your iPhone ?

Yes, you can and I didn’t know it.
My good friend @mamadougsakho tipped me off yesterday and I want to share it with you because it’s really useful.
Go to the camera mode
. When the iPhone is idle, touch the home button and lift the camera icon from the bottom right to the top to reveal the camera mode
. Or walk your way through you iPhone to switch the camera on
In the camera mode, aim at your subject and
. Focus on the subject, by tapping the subject, a yellow square will appear and the subject will be sharper
. Optimize the light (brighter or darker), aim at the subject and tap it, leave you finger on it and see a little sun appearing. Then slide up and down to brighten or to darken the picture

8. iPhoto, 4,99$
App created by Apple. With this app, you’ll be able to retouch pictures (light, color, sharp/blur, …), add effects to your pictures, but also create journals to share with family and friends (not really useful anymore with the built-in PhotoStream to share your pictures). I use it mainly to lightnen faces on pictures when too dark.

10. 360, 0,99$
Great app to complement the Panoramic option of your iPhone that will enable you to take 360 pictures. With a little bit of practice you’ll take smashing 360 pictures. Then you can “flatten” and save your pictures on your camera roll (less waouw-effect but still cool)

Don’t hesitate to combine the apps to create the best effect, for example here I took a picture that I transformed in black and white and only revealed the colors I wanted (color Snap app) then I saved it and imported in the Notica app to have it saved on the camera roll as a postcard.

IOS5 and the camera

20 Oct

A promise is a promise…
So let’s talk about what the IOS5 can bring to your iPhone.
1/ The camera. You can now take a picture straight from you locked screen.

  • Double click on the home button while your iPhone is asleep. The camera button will appear next to the “unlock slide”
  • Click on the camera icone and you will have access in a click to your camera
  • The zoom is reachable by zooming with your 2 fingers on the screen
  • You can now take the picture by clicking on the volume up button

2/ The Reminders
Kind of a to do list with reminders and completed tasks. Nothing too fancy but useful.

3/ Synchronize content through all you iDevices (iPhone and iPad).

  • Go to “Settings”,
  • then go to “Store”
  • and select what you want to synchronise “music”, “books”, “apps”, …

Food for thought: when you get a notification on your locked screen, slide it and you’ll go straight to the app!!!

Next time, I’ll talk to you about the iCloud !!
