Do 2 things simultaneously!

Pocket size extra batt & cable

Pocket size extra batt & cable

Remember when your teacher told you to focus and do only one thing at a time?
The guys from Native Union didn’t listen and developed a really smart gadget called the JUMP cable.
The JUMP cable is a 2 in 1 device:
1. It’s a USB charging cable for your iPhone
2. It’s an extra battery for your iPhone that will charge itself while using the cable to charge your phone. When off the plug, it will give you an extra 30% boost.

The 3 little lights on the USB face will blink while charging. When the 3 lights are steady, the extra boost will be ready to deliver the 30% extra boost (one light means 33% batt charged, 2 lights 66%). Full charging time for the extra batt is about 1,5 hours.

The best of it is that it’s very compact (5x5cm) and lightweight (40gr) enough to fit in your coin pocket!

When done charging, just put the cords and plugs back in their spot and tuck it in your pocket.

Jump cable by Native UnionThe price is not that lightweight though with a $49,99 tag.

But I f you do the math, one iPhone cable $19 + one extra battery (small boost) $29,99 it’s an OK price. Worth trying!

PS: I would have like the possibility to hook it as a keyring, but that’s ok.
And a little notch to pull the plugs easily.

This doctor is cold!

made of Coolcore

made of Coolcore

Now that your are familiar with the compression wrap made by DrCool and you can wrap like the best nurse in a 25 miles radius, let’s talk about the icy property of the DrCool!

DrCool wraps are different than the others, they are made with Coolcore‘s chemical-free cooling material.

Why is ice important when you just hurt yourself? Because the cold stops the inflammation and prevents or reduce the bruise.

So now, let’s wrap icy cold around the injury. What you need is water, a deep freezer and wait a bit for the freeze to start.
1. unwrap the strap
2. soak the wrap under the water
3. roll it back or lay is folded
4. put it in the freezer to freeze
5. take the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream pot out and make some room for the wrap
6. wait 20 minutes if the wrap is rolled or 40 minutes if it’s folded

When you done eating, the wrap should be ready to sooth you. Wrap it around the injury and let it rest or keep going because you are done wearing ice pack on your sore muscles!

That’s the Yvolution!

11 Aug

Photo 13-03-2014 5 19 00 pmThat’s our evolution
When we are babies, we crawl then we stumble and rise to finally walk and run. That’s when we want to go faster and discover the tricycle and the bike …
With Y-volution, my little nephews discovered a whole new world.

Photo 14-03-2014 11 01 29 amLittleB, 5 years old boy, chose the Fliker B3 , littleE, 3 years and half girl, the Fliker B1 and I went for the Fliker C3.Yvolution
The Yvolution upgraded the regular one slate scooter to a v-shape 2 slates scooter with a hand break.
The front wheel works the same as a regular scooter but the 2 back wheels are “loose” and allow you “to fool around”.

The Fliker is great on flat and downhill, uphill will be more challenging physically.

Unfold the scooter, and screw the 2 big green buttons and here you go! You are ready!

Easy but heavy transport

Easy to transport, a bit heavy though

Unfold the scooter

Turn the screw to fasten

Turn both green screws to fasten

To start, just kick as with your regular scooter than shake your bootie (move your hip from one side to the other) to experience the speed, carve and slide. Take a bit of speed and here goes the 360 turn, lean on the handlebars and here goes the skidding!!! All in full safety with the handbreak!
With a bit of practice and sweat, you’ll master the beast.
The Fliker is great to do workout and works evenly on both legs (instead of the regular scooter), you’ll challenge you thighs, hips and abs and this is good. Great workout while having fun.

I’m a Boba-head!

Boba Guys bubble tea What about you?
Remember Boba it’s the nickname of the Taiwainese bubble tea that I like so much.
Wherever I travel, I try to find a good bubble tea shop.
This time, while in San Francisco, I found the Boba Guys, but not only!
I also discovered the app called Order! Order is a spin off of the app Square.
Order will check out the nearby shops surrounding you and will give you the possibility to order from your couch whatever you want. It also tells you if the shop is opened, closed or will open soon as well as the delay to service your order.
Then you pay for your order (I registered my MasterCard in the app).
And when it’s ready to pick it up, just walk to the shop to grab your order.

Boba Guys bubble tea So far this app works if you are in NY or San Francisco.
Test it, it’s really cool, and if like me you don’t like to queue, you’ll be a regular user in no time!

Let’s go back to bubble tea now.
I used Order to … order my bubble tea from the Boba Guys.
I went for a green tea (brewed on demand) with almond milk, I added boba and extra almond jelly and asked for no sugar. Delicious!

PS: the bubble tea was great! I’ll be back!!

Photo 16-07-2014 10 19 38 pmYour knee is hurting since your weekly run?
You twisted your ankle during a soccer match?
Pain in the elbow after a tennis match against your former BFF? …

Basically you are in pain and you need help!

You already stole the pack of green peas in the fridge or a steak and tried to strap it to the wounded you.
It’s a little relief but it doesn’t look cool, isn’t efficient and also you taking the food outside the mouth of your kids!

Leave the fridge alone and now check out what the doctor, DrCool has to propose you!

DrCool invented the 1st wrap that combines cold and compression.
Let’s talk about the wraps and how to use it for compression and in the next article we will discover the cold …

You have 3 wraps: small ($24,99), medium ($29,99) and large ($34,99).
. The small works for the wrist, ankle, elbow
. The medium is perfect for knee, head, elbow
. The large will relieve you back, leg, …

I never been good at wrapping a wound but with this wrap it’s easy, anyone can wrap as a pro even if you are not a first-aid worker …
I did some exercises home to show you how to wrap.
The small wrap works for

The great thing about those wraps is that you can wear them at home after you hurt yourself for immediate relieve of the pain but you can also wear them while practicing your sport for extra support!
Next time, we will explore the icy part of the DrCool wraps, stay tuned and give back the pack of green peas!
